About Me!
Hi, my name is Wei Xing Yong. I'm 22 years old and was born in Malaysia. And in case you are wondering, I am male (to avoid confusion).
I recently graduated from Teesside University, UK with a First Class Honours in BA Digital Character Animation. I am currently working full-time as an animator and I make flash animations in my spare time. My professional portfolio website can be viewed here.
I started animating at the age of 11, using the program Macromedia Flash 5. Ever since then, I was hooked onto the idea of animation, amazed by the ability to make my imagination come to life. With over 8 years of experience in the Flash package (Macromedia/Adobe), I consider myself quite the expert. I know the program inside out and no words can describe how much I love this program.
Ever since I went to University, I was opened to a whole world of animation I've not discovered before: Traditional animation, 3D animation and the core principles of animation. This is also where my passion for animation flared up, with a keen determination to improve, I studied and worked harder to be the best I can be. I have grown to be very observant and critical of animated work, especially my own.
I would like to direct my own short films one day and make a living doing what I love most!

1. What program do you use to make your animations?
- Adobe Flash CS3
2. What music did you use for <name of animation>?
- All the music used are fully credited at the end of every movie. Just read the credits at the end!
3. Can you teach me Flash or how to animate?
-No. I am busy. Go and buy Richard William's Animator's Survival Kit if you really want to learn animation.
4. Why don't you make more animations more often?
- I have to pay the bills. I am working full time to drive my animation career forward and simply don't have that much free time anymore.
5. Then why don't you just spend all your free time making more animations?
- Because I also have a life to live. Tell you what - I'll do what I can, just leave me alone :)
6. CS is old. Why don't you make other game parodies like L4D and COD?
- See no.4. One day, it just might happen.
7. I am also an animator, can I show you my work?
- Yep, feel free to email me. I don't mind giving you feedback on your animations.
8. I am a music producer/artist/voice actor/concept designer/writer/animator. Can I get involved in any way?
