The forum "heart transplant" was a great success! It is now running on version 2.0, with a customised FD theme!
In other news, I'm working really hard on DE_dust2... making lots of progress! The .fla file size is so large that its lagging the flash interface, which isn't good. Not to mention my computer isn't low spec (3.0ghz dual core, 4gb ram). What I find really frustrating is that if I hit the undo key, it takes approx 1-2 seconds to process, and as an animator whos been using flash for so many years, I like to work fast and use shortcut keys to use the drawing tools and etc, and this inconvenient delay is really getting to me .
A word of advice to other flash animators; Flash is not programmed to handle BIG projects, so I'd recommend sticking with simple, short animations.
We are currently upgrading our forum to version 2.0 from 1.1.5. Be prepared for some "drastic" changes, so please do not panic as we perform this "heart transplant" (as Matt calls it).

As you can see, there has been some new concept changes to the character designs. I am also putting this up for sale if anyone is interested; please express your interest and contact me so I can make arrangements for this to happen .
The poster would most likely be printed at A2 size, 16.5"x23.4" (42x60cm) and the price will depend on the demand... the more people want it, the cheaper it'll be!

We are also looking into resolving the Registration Visual aid for those who are having problems hearing the audio clip. Hopefully, this will encourage more members to register.
I've finished animating the Animatic of the movie, which now gives me an accurate depiction of the actual runtime of DE_dust2, which is more or less around 5 minutes 30 seconds. Now before you get all excited; I've only animated in full 2 minutes.
Previously, I estimated runtime to be 8 - 10 minutes long, obviously I have overestimated and I'm glad I did because thats a good 2.5 mins less to animate! My personal deadline for this project is before 1st October 2008, in time for submitting it to the Animex Festival 2009.
I will try my best to finish it on time and maintain the quality of the animation, though I must admit I am in quite a rush to finish this for October.
